When Most Fans Tune In

For PPVs and bigger Fight Nights, the main card is when most fans tune in. For UFC 333: Volkanovski vs Evloev, that moment is Sat, Oct 24, 2:00 PM EDT.

Main Card Does Not Equal Main Event

The main event happens later. Main card time means the featured broadcast block starts, not that the headliner walks immediately after the timer hits zero.

When the Main Event Actually Starts

A main card normally has four or five bouts before the headliner, so the main event usually starts around two hours after the Sat, Oct 24, 2:00 PM EDT main card start. Early finishes bring the walkouts forward; that is why the main card time, not a guessed main event time, is the safe anchor.

Main Card Time Outside the U.S.

A Saturday-night U.S. main card is Sunday morning in the UK, Ireland, India, Australia and New Zealand. The country pages below convert the same main card start into local time, with daylight saving applied, so the local date is right too.

Prelims Still Matter

If you want the full card, the prelim window matters too. For UFC 333: Volkanovski vs Evloev, the current prelim anchor is Sat, Oct 24, 12:00 PM EDT.
